For Café Monte Grande, the roasting process is a combination of science and art. Their coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified and in their production, they nourish and restore the soil so that the shade-grown coffee plants are strong and productive.
Ninety percent of their production is processed by the washed method. The other 10% is processed in a natural way taking care that its drying is of high quality. In the last few years, they have begun to work with specialty micro-lots, with advanced fermentation and patio drying with which they have achieved cups of up to 87 points in cup of excellence.
